German artist Klangkuenstler
has chosen the Monegros Desert, the world’s leading hub for rave culture and radical techno, to present the most ambitious production of his career. It’s a 360° stage for over 20,000 people, specially designed for this desert, a brand-new space for this year’s edition, created and produced from scratch.
On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Monegros Desert will become the only place in the world where OUTWORLD, Klangkuenstler’s creative universe, will come to life in an outdoor format with a completely new stage.
Klangkuenstler has chosen Monegros as his home to develop the most ambitious project of his entire career. This collaboration with Monegros Desert Festival marks a new chapter in the evolution of festivals.
For the first time, a concept conceived for large urban and industrial indoor venues is being transported to an open, natural, and large-scale environment, specifically designed to blend seamlessly with the Monegros desert.
A world premiere and the only opportunity to see this stage exclusively in 2026, with an installation designed specifically for one of the most emblematic settings of international rave culture. Monegros continues its commitment to creative and experiential shows, and this year it doubles down by creating, for the first time, the most incredible stage ever built in the country.
OUTWORLD: From Stage Concept to Artistic Language
OUTWORLD is the artistic and performance project that Klangkuenstler has developed in recent years as an extension of its sonic identity. It revolves around long, high-intensity sets, where German Schranz, hardgroove, and the roots of classic and old-school techno combine with a visual narrative inspired by dystopian and sci-fi imagery.
In its recent journey, this concept created by Klangkuenstler has reached arena scale in various European and Latin American cities, with several editions selling out in record time and with growing demand accompanying its international expansion.

OUTWORLD is not just a stage, but a living infrastructure of architecture, light, and visual storytelling designed to erase the boundary between body and sound. A 360°, physical, and immersive experience, where Klangkuenstler’s uncompromising techno is amplified to become a sonic ecosystem designed to merge with the landscape and transform it into an experience.
From urban space to the open territory of the Monegros Desert
The OUTWORLD presentation in Monegros is neither a replica nor an adaptation of the existing format. It is a production conceived specifically for the desert and will premiere on July 25, 2026, as the only outdoor version of the project worldwide.
The stage design, lighting architecture, and visual narrative have been developed to operate throughout the festival’s 22 hours, integrating elements rarely seen in the contemporary electronic music scene: heat, dust, spatial vastness, and a direct connection to the landscape.
From an artistic standpoint, the Monegros premiere marks a key moment in the project’s evolution. OUTWORLD has established itself in recent years as one of the most recognizable conceptual formats within the scene, both for its musical approach—narrative progression and sustained energy—and for its treatment of space, light, and sound as a single expressive system.

The desert premiere will also mark a milestone in the German artist’s career. It will be his most ambitious production to date and the largest stage he has ever designed.
