Grupo Firme pushes the boundaries of norteño/banda music with their new album “Evolución,” a masterpiece of the genre. The 14-song album achieves the perfect balance between traditional and modern, fusing the norteño accordion with electric guitars.

Comprised of Eduin (lead singer); Jhonny Caz (vocalist and Eduin’s brother); Abraham Hernández (vocalist and tuba); Joaquín Ruiz (bajo sexto guitar); Christian Gutiérrez (bass); José “Fito” Rubio (drums); and Dylan Camacho (accordion), Grupo Firme quickly became a giant of Latin music after going viral on YouTube and social media during the pandemic.
“Evolución” is their first studio album in three years and arrives at a crucial moment, breaking down barriers in music.
“We’ve achieved things we never imagined,” Eduin Caz told Billboard Español, speaking about Evolución. “Today we want to show another side of Grupo Firme without losing our essence, but above all, to enjoy what we do.”
Grupo Firme has had 31 hits on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, 20 of which reached the top 10, and 12 reached number one.
