Monegros Desert Festival 2025: 50,000 people, 90 countries, and 22 uninterrupted hours in the desert.

From Joseph Capriati’s powerful opening performance to Indira Paganotto’s historic closing performance, Monegros 2025 made history with more than 150 artists and a day that transformed the desert into a collective ritual.
Fraga, July 26, 2025 – The desert has spoken. The 32nd edition of the Monegros Desert Festival has closed its doors with an unforgettable day in which 50,000 attendees from 90 countries immersed themselves in an extreme experience of music, freedom, and community. Under the desert sun and amid clouds of dust that have become part of the festival’s collective imagination, the event once again demonstrated why it remains one of the most iconic electronic rituals internationally.

For 22 hours without interruption, the beats took over the arid landscape of Fraga with a lineup that brought together more than 150 artists, spread across 13 stages that have taken a qualitative leap forward this year.

New features: Brunch Electronik’s Duna Stage, which offered a curated selection of house and techno in a more intimate setting; and the imposing Unreal, a dystopian temple to the darkest and most powerful sounds of the European scene.

The most symbolic moment came at the end: Indira, one of the Spanish DJs with the greatest international projection, made history by becoming the first Spanish woman to close the Monegros Desert Festival. Her vibrant and emotional set was a declaration of intent: the future of techno is also written in the feminine.

“This year’s experience has been deeply moving. Seeing Indira close the festival, surrounded by a sea of dedicated people after 22 hours of nonstop, reminded us why we do this. It’s not just music, it’s legacy, it’s evolution, it’s breaking boundaries,” says Cruz Arnau, co-founder of the festival.
“Monegros 2025 has been an edition that breathes both the present and the future. We’ve opted for new formats, new talents, and new audiences. What we experienced in the desert can’t be replicated anywhere else,” adds Juan Arnau Jr.

Monegros continues to be a festival where the epic and the unexpected coexist. Throughout the 120,000 m² venue, each stage offered a different journey. From classics of industrial techno and hard-hitting house to sounds like drum & bass and reggae, the artistic offering once again broke all categorization.

Among the most captured moments of this edition was the explosive energy of the F2F between Andrian Mills and Andrés Campo at Industry City, a set that enchanted the audience with an impeccable blend of techno and local charisma. The directors of Pendulum and Rudimental also shone, in addition to performances by names like Fatima Hajji, Richie Hawtin, and Paco Osuna.
“This year’s lineup reflects what Monegros is all about: a radically free vision of electronic music,” remarked Víctor de la Serna, the festival’s musical director. “Here, there’s room to dance, to explore, to get lost… and to find oneself.”

The festival’s infrastructure was monumental. More than 4,000 professionals worked on the production, including 1,200 waiters, 500 security agents, technicians, drivers, and medical and cleaning staff. More than 14,000 private vehicles and 275 buses were mobilized, with an optimized logistical operation to ensure smooth flow and safety from arrival at the venue to final departure. The design of the space was enhanced with shaded areas, renovated water points, intuitive signage, streamlined payment systems, and improved rest areas. All without losing the wild and radical essence that has made Monegros an icon.

Monegros once again adds Repsol as an Energy Partner with the goal of reducing its CO2 emissions. The festival will use 100% renewable fuel from Repsol to power the generators that will power the festival.

In addition, materials and infrastructure, such as the plane and train, already part of the festival’s visual image, were reused. Public transportation was widely promoted, and the local and plant-based cuisine, served with compostable tableware, redoubled the commitment to a more environmentally friendly model.
