New studies show listening to 120-130 BPM music like house may slow aging by up to six years.
Researchers from University College London and the University of the Republic looked at brain scans and genetic data from over 35,000 people. They found that listening to rhythmic beats in that tempo helps improve brain health and lowers cortisol, a stress hormone linked to aging, by 20 percent.

People who regularly listen to house music show brain activity like younger adults and have better heart rate control, both connected to a longer life.
In other words, dancing to house music might actually keep your brain younger.
