A fusion of salsa, carranga, and rumba criolla that pays tribute to the culture of Cundinamarca and Boyacá regions in Colombia.
Today, June 6th, Colombian salsa gets its festive season with the release of “Rumba para enamorar” (Rumba to Fall in Love), the new single from Guayacán Orquesta and Heredero. This musical offering unites three powerful sonic traditions: salsa, carranga, and rumba criolla, in a moving tribute to the identity and cultural richness of the Cundinamarca and Boyacá regions.
Composed by maestro Alexis Lozano, founder and director of Guayacán, and performed by Sebastián Moreno alongside renowned artist Heredero, this production was led by the orchestra’s creative pillars: Alexis Lozano and Nino Caicedo, who reaffirm their commitment to the evolution of Colombian music through this fusion. “Rumba para enamorar” is a joyful ode to love, the land, and identity.
A rumba with a peasant heart and a salsa soul, it represents the diverse, creative, and musical character of Colombia.
Also today, June 6th, the official music video will premiere, filmed in iconic locations in the department of Boyacá, such as Tunja, Pantano de Vargas, Lago de Tota, Villa de Leyva, Ráquira, and Pueblito Boyacense. The video, starring Sebastián Moreno and Tiffany Atencia, current Miss Boyacá, is a visual postcard of the beauty, history, and pride of the region.
Furthermore, Guayacán Orquesta continues to carry the flag of Colombian salsa to the world: in May and June, it will undertake an extensive tour of major European capitals, reaffirming its role as the country’s musical ambassador and as one of the most influential groups of the genre internationally.

“Rumba para enamorar” will be available starting June 6 on all digital platforms and will be accompanied by urban activations, exclusive content, and special performances in cities like Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali, where salsa and popular music thrive.
