Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed he will perform from a throne, possibly even a flying one, in what is being billed as Black Sabbath’s final performance.

Scheduled for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, the “Back to the Beginning” concert will see the Prince of Darkness reunite with his legendary bandmates for one last ride, albeit in a more comfortable, seated position.
The 76-year-old singer, who has battled neck and spinal injuries in addition to Parkinson’s disease, now occasionally uses a wheelchair, but is determined to seize this moment.

Ozzy’s longtime guitarist and collaborator Zakk Wylde hinted that the frontman could be in the air during the event—literally.
“With Oz and his throne that just flies over the stadium, where he throws buckets of water and does all kinds of things,” Wylde said.
Although Ozzy won’t be performing a full set, the Back to the Beginning concert is shaping up to be a metal fan’s dream. The lineup includes Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, along with other big names like Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. Also included are other renowned artists such as Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, and recent Grammy winners, French band Gojira.
