The iconic Colombian band will tour North America from December 5 to 20 with a show that celebrates rebellion, memory, sound, and their 2026 Grammy nomination.
In the midst of the holiday season, ATERCIOPELADOS is giving their fans an early gift: a tour of the United States and Canada from December 5 to 20, with a show that brings together their most recognized classics, the hits that have accompanied different generations, and the songs from their most recent album, Genes Rebeldes (Rebel Genes).
The Genes Rebeldes Tour will visit San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, and Orlando, with a show that combines a historical journey, current creative energy, and the raw energy that characterizes the band.

Rebel Genes: An album that connects past, present, and a new creative stage
With over 30 years in the business, Aterciopelados released their tenth album, Rebel Genes, earlier this year. Far from repeating themselves, the group offers a direct, hybrid, and powerful sound that moves between rock, blues, Latin rhythms, and electronic textures, without losing their critical and poetic touch.
The album explores personal, social, and political questions with the same frankness that has characterized the duo since their beginnings. It features 13 songs that converse with one another: from the intimacy of certain tracks to statements that aim to question structures and forms of power.
Among the album’s key moments are:
“Eterno,” a tribute to Gustavo Cerati featuring Zeta Bosio, Richard Coleman, and Hilda Lizarazu, a collaboration that revisits historical ties in Latin rock.
“Rompan Todo” (Break Everything), a cumbia with an electronic edge inspired by the 2020 series about Latin American rock, revisits a recurring theme for the band: corruption and its consequences.

Genes Rebeldes (Rebel Genes) was recently nominated for a 2026 Grammy Award in the Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album category, a recognition that highlights a project developed entirely “in-house,” with the creative and technical team that accompanies the band.
Aterciopelados celebrates this nomination as further impetus to continue a path built on independence, artistic consistency, and a close relationship with their audience.
With this tour, Aterciopelados reaffirms its presence on the international scene and returns to North America with a show that spans all their eras. The Genes Rebeldes Tour offers a comprehensive look at their career and their current creative moment, connecting audiences of different generations. It will also be an opportunity to hear live the songs from an album that is currently among the most talked-about contenders for the 2026 Grammys, in a format designed exclusively for this tour of the United States and Canada.
