An Italian man has set the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of nightclub and rave flyers.
Marco Brusadelli, from Cisano Bergamasco, broke the record with his collection of 113,012 flyers dating from between 1985 and 2015. Comprising posters from major clubs, parties and DJs around the world, his stock spans everything from house and techno events to trance, hardcore, D&B, EDM and beyond.

Brusadelli has pointed out that his full collection actually consists of 119,987 items, but because of Guinness World Records guidelines, 5,003 did not fit the criteria, and therefore were not counted.
Brusadelli also told Guinness that he had meticulously organised his collection, sorting them according to country, party/rave, genre, tempo and style of music. “This collection represents more than 25 years of electronic music history and its contemporary art,” Marco said.

“[The] best DJs, art directors, promoters, graphic designers and traders/collectors have helped me to make this project a global project… I’m sure that this is the largest collection in the world because I’m trading with major flyer collectors worldwide and nobody [has] so many different ones!
He added: “To be able to participate [in] the Guinness World Records is a dream that has come true for me. When I was younger I was given a Guinness World Records book by my parents every Christmas. I used to tell myself that one day I would have been part of it. So I have worked for more than half of my life to create this collection for no [monetary] reasons. My hope is that my passion could inspire new generations to learn more about the wonderful history of the ‘house and techno revolution.’”
Brusadelli started his collection in 1991 when he started peeling nightclub flyers off walls and lamp posts during his travels, which he would then take home and preserve in folders. Within his collection, he has 11,611 from the UK, and over 40,000 from around his native Italy.
