RUTA spotlights bass-forward sounds from the global underground on storming new compilation, ‘Erre’.
Berlin-based Colombian label RUTA is set to release a new V/A compilation, ‘Erre’, this week.
The 12-track collection – out 25th July – features a cast of eminent international exports and label alumni innovating across the club music spectrum, from leftfield techno tools and fiery bass steppers, through to floor-filling broken beat and UKG hybrids. It’s a dynamic manifestation of the RUTA’s “transnational creative ethos”, as the label continues on its mission to spotlight pioneers in rhythm-forward, bass-weighted dance music.

Ecuadorian heavyweight Entrañas delivers polyrhythmic rave goodness on opener ‘Roto’ – featuring thundering percs and twisted synth work – ahead of a tunnelling techno curveball from HI ROSIE and bass-boosted magic from Philadelphia-based Shai FM on ‘Stranger To My Heart’. Other contributors include Ranma Entero, Pino Peña, Trexeter, sepbtt, Viiaan and more.
