To celebrate Mother’s Day, romantic salsa maestro Willy García presents “Todavía te veo,” the first preview of his long-awaited album “Viviendo.”

“I wrote this song while crying, feeling in my soul the immense gift of having my mother alive. Since I was a child, I knew that music was my bridge to people’s hearts. But I never imagined that one day I would write something as intimate as this. Every tear that shed while writing it carries a little piece of my gratitude and love for my mother. This is my invitation to not take for granted that the people who gave us life will be there forever. We have to value them, embrace them, and show them all the love we have while we can,” the Colombian singer-songwriter confessed.
“Todavia Te Veo” according to García, has lyrics filled with emotion and a rhythm that caresses the soul. This single is a sincere declaration of gratitude to God for the blessing of continuing to share life with “Doña Marina,” his mother.
“Sometimes we forget that life is a fleeting gift. I wanted to capture in this song that moment of clarity: when you look at the person who gave you life and realize that as long as they are by your side, it’s worth being thankful, dreaming, and singing with all your soul.”
With “Todavia Te Veo” García also pays tribute to all the brave and warrior mothers who sustain families and dreams day after day. Her sincere writing, combined with her unmistakable voice, paints a soundscape in which each note is a hug and each verse a sigh.
“This song is my way of saying thank you to all the mothers who are still here, being the driving force in our lives,” he added.
