The actress, singer and Miss America (1984), Vanessa Williams (61), will play the intimidating editor-in-chief in the musical ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ that will premiere in October at the Dominion Theater in London. The original soundtrack is by Elton John.
The musical is based on the novel and the hit 2006 film, starring Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as her assistant.
Meryl Streep’s iconic performance earned her an Oscar nomination for best actress in 2007.
In 1992 Vanessa Williams went to number 1 on the Hot 100 with the ballad “Save the best for last.”
