The new unit from the tech giant packs many of the same features from its flagship CDJ-3000X into a more compact design intended for smaller booths and at-home setups. These include the same 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen, eight Hot Cue buttons and built in Wi-Fi from the CDJ-3000X.

The CDJ-1500X also features an illuminated front bay with two USB ports — 1 x Type-C and 1 x Type-A — expanding connectivity while keeping drives stowed away. The main waveform display now also shows visual indicators for vocal positions, BPM change points and phrase structures. Visually, it features a customisable design that offers 12 colour choices for the multi player’s LED lighting.

Notably, the CDJ-1500X is the first AlphaTheta multi player that works with the brand’s interactive new CoBeat service, which allows audience members or anyone watching your set to scan a QR code and react and send requests for a shared experience.
The CDJ-1500X is priced at €1,699 including VAT / £ 1,469 including VAT / $1,599 excluding tax / $1,699.
Earlier this year, AlphaTheta launched a new three-channel mixer, the DJM-V5 and its “next-gen” effector, the RMX-IGNITE.
