A Kickstarter campaign has been launched to fund the production of a new electronic music board game, Track Quest.
The game — created by Barcelona-based music education organisation Aulart — covers almost six decades of electronic music history, diving into sounds such as disco and Krautrock, as well as house, techno and other genres.
Players must place tracks on a chronological timeline using audio clips and hint cards, while opponents try to mute hints, steal cards and trigger “panic timers” to disrupt play. One example features Daft Punk, described as ‘the French duo who always performed wearing high-tech helmets rather than showing their faces’.

Track Quest also includes 200 “expansion cards”, which allow players to customise the game by choosing their favourite sub-genres and creating their own mix-like playlist. These sub-genres include house, techno, drum & bass, dubstep and trance.
Other genres featured in the game include hyperpop, Afro-house, tech-house, IDM, trip-hop and EBM.
In 2022, a business techno-themed board game was released.
