Música popular is currently the most significant musical genre in Colombia. Inspired by the Mexican regional style, it has taken radio, streaming platforms, and live music venues by storm over the last decade. In its analysis of the first half of 2026, Decibeles—a company that monitors radio stations across the country—identified this genre as having the strongest presence on Colombian radio, alongside a growing digital footprint. Música popular is no longer a phenomenon confined to specific regions or an older demographic; its expansion into major cities, digital platforms, large-scale venues, and among younger audiences proves that it is a robust and highly successful movement.

On December 12, the most exciting música popular festival of the year-end season will take place at the fabulous Hotel Paraíso Estudios in Ricaurte/Girardot. The lineup features Jessi Uribe, Paola Jara, Jhonny Rivera, Jenny López, and Mariachi Vargas.
This “Paraíso Intimo” will be transformed into a dreamlike venue, strategically set up around the hotel’s expansive infinity pool. A variety of ticket options will be available—including general admission, VIP zones, private boxes, and premium balconies—with some guests even able to enjoy the show from the comfort of their own hotel rooms.
