RÜFÜS DU SOL’s 2026 world tour becomes highest-grossing in electronic music history

The Australian trio’s latest run has generated $158 million and sold 1.7 million tickets across 115 shows worldwide

RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Inhale/Exhale tour has become the highest-grossing in electronic music history, while also setting a new attendance record.

Concluding on Saturday 5th September, the run included 54 shows across the US and Canada, 21 in Europe, 13 in Oceania, and 10 in Latin America. North America was the biggest leg, generating almost $72 million from 31 dates and selling 693,000 tickets, with stops including Folsom Field in Boulder and Mexico City before the final show in Toronto earlier this month.

According to Billboard Boxscore, Inhale/Exhale is the first dance music tour to surpass $100 million in revenue, grossing $158 million overall. It has also become the first to sell more than one million tickets, with 1.7 million sold across all dates.

The figures have reportedly pushed RÜFÜS DU SOL’s career totals to $173.7 million in live revenue and 1.9 million tickets sold, making the Australian trio the highest-grossing and best-selling electronic act in Boxscore history.

By comparison, Illenium and ODESZA have the next-highest career live revenues, at $88.3 million and $75.4 million respectively, while Tiësto follows RÜFÜS DU SOL in career ticket sales with 1.3 million.

Last year, RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Inhale/Exhale tour was heralded as electronic music’s all-time highest-selling, as per data from global promoter Live Nation, after 750,000 tickets were bought. Notably, this included passes to festivals the group were performing at.
