The Italian singer joined Gou for the finale of her London day party on Sunday
The Italian singer made a surprise appearance during the finale of Gou’s headline set at the Old Royal Naval College on Sunday (2nd August), performing a live rendition of her 1996 dance anthem ‘Freed From Desire’. The day party also featured sets from Prospa, MPH, Daisybelle, and Kelly Lee Owens earlier in the day.
Sharing footage from the party, including Gala’s performance of ‘Freed From Desire’, Gou said: “London I’m still thinking about you and I will think about you for a very long time. Thanks everyone who came for the good vibes and all the artists.”
Referring to ‘Freed From Desire’, she added: “Almost cried listening to that song live as finale and what an iconic venue!”
Gala also shared footage of her performance via Instagram.
Earlier this summer, Gou headlined a special Midnight Lobster Club party at [UNVRS] Ibiza, marking her first appearance at the club since its closing party last October.
Her latest single, ‘Wo,man’, featuring Ayra Starr, was released in June via XL Recordings.
In 2024, Gala released a re-recorded version of ‘Freed From Desire’ through Ministry Of Sound and B1 Recordings.
