The duo joined forces for an all-night-long set on Sunday (26th July)
Carl Cox and David Guetta played their very first b2b set together last night (Sunday, 26th July).
The two legendary DJs joined forces for an all-night-long session at [UNVRS] Ibiza as part of Cox’s weekly summer residency at the club. Ahead of the performance, Cox teased the collaboration on Instagram, writing, “Well… this was about time.”
The set also doubled as Cox’s birthday celebration on the White Isle ahead of his 64th birthday this Wednesday (29th July). Before taking to the decks, the pair caught up in a video shared on social media, in which Guetta said the set was “gonna be crazy” and that he was “so happy” to be playing alongside Cox for the first time.
Guetta added that the set would give him the chance to move away from the hits fans typically expect at his own [UNVRS] residency, and play “something completely different and unexpected”.

The landmark b2b set between Cox and Guetta was first announced in February of this year.
Cox recently made his film soundtrack debut by contributing tracks to the score for a new adaptation of Animal Farm.
