From Miami, this Colombian executive has built a creative network connecting songwriters and producers across the United States, Spain, and Latin America, participating in some of the most relevant pop and urban releases today.

While the Latin market is experiencing one of its most global and competitive periods, names like Karol G, Peso Pluma, Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Kali Uchis continue to shape the cultural conversation. Behind many of these songs, collaborations, and new creative ventures, there is a generation of music executives who are also shaping the industry’s sound from behind the scenes. One of them is Daniela Méndez.

Based in Miami and born in Bogotá, this Colombian executive has become one of the most prominent emerging figures in the Latin music publishing world, building bridges between songwriters, producers, and artists from different markets to develop songs with global impact.

With over eight years of experience in the industry, Daniela began her career at Big Deal Music, one of the most influential independent publishers in Los Angeles before its acquisition by Hipgnosis Songs Group, where she actively participated in expanding the company’s Latin repertoire. During that time, she worked closely with talents such as Juan Ariza and Bruses, in addition to collaborating with internationally renowned songwriters like John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, and Joe London.

She currently serves as Head of A&R at M Publishing, an independent boutique publisher that has become one of the fastest-growing and most influential in the current Latin music scene. From there, she leads the creative development of songwriters, producers, and artists such as Spread Lof, Mazzarri, Sara Schell, Nina Minguez, and Xavi, fostering connections between the United States, Mexico, Spain, and Latin America.

“Daniela has been a great ally in my development as a songwriter from a very early age. Her dedication, creative sensitivity, and ability to open doors have had a significant impact on my growth as a songwriter in both the Latin American and Anglo markets. She is an A&R representative who works with passion, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to the talent she represents.” – Sara Schell

Throughout her career, Daniela has been involved in the development of music performed by some of the most important artists in the contemporary music industry, including Becky G, Nicki Nicole, Belinda, Ivan Cornejo, Natanael Cano, J Balvin, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Bad Bunny, Peso Pluma, Kali Uchis, and Alejandro Sanz.

Among the releases associated with her work are tracks like “Gabriela” by KATSEYE, “Igual Que Un Ángel” by Peso Pluma and Kali Uchis, “Latina Foreva” by Karol G, “Río” by J Balvin, “¿Qué Pasaría…?” by Rauw Alejandro and Bad Bunny, and “La Diabla” by Xavi.

Beyond the credits, one of her most notable strengths within the industry is her ability to identify talent at early stages and support creative processes with a long-term vision. Part of that work has included signing and developing artists like NSQK and Sofia Lafuente, championing projects that now represent a new generation of Latin alternative pop with international potential.

“Daniela stands out for her professionalism and commitment. It’s a pleasure to have her as part of my editorial team, a top-notch team that constantly works to create opportunities and support its songwriters.” Spread Lof states

With a network connecting key cities like Miami, Los Angeles, Madrid, and Mexico City, Daniela Méndez continues to solidify her position as one of the most promising Colombian executives in contemporary Latin publishing, at a time when Spanish-language songs continue to redefine the global music landscape.
