Today, April 23, Rafa Pérez releases his new album, “EN TIEMPO REAL” (In Real Time), a launch that marks a turning point in his career, with an authentic approach that preserves the essence of vallenato.

The project stems from a creative experience developed with his team in a home studio, an intimate and unconventional dynamic that allowed each song to be crafted from closeness, musical connection, and the genuine process of live creation.

On this production, Rafa Pérez is accompanied by accordionists Sergio Luis Rodríguez and Juank Padilla. The album includes songs by renowned composers Omar Geles, Marciano Martinez, Jhon Mindiola, Breiner Gutiérrez, Elkín Garcia, Alberto Krammerer, Sergio Luis Rodriguez, Fabian Corrales, Erika Vidrio, Rolando Ochoa, Daniel Geles, Alberto “Tico” Mercado, Aurelio “Yeyo” Nuñez, Rosendo Romero, and Jose Alfonso “Chiche” Maestre.

The visuals were filmed in some of Europe’s most iconic locations, such as Madrid, Paris, and Rome, showcasing some of the most emblematic places and complementing the project’s audiovisual presentation.

“El Puntico,” the album’s lead single, is a song by the late Omar Geles that tells the story of a woman who abandons true love for a relationship based on material things, but over time discovers that she doesn’t feel fulfilled or in love.

This great artistic moment is backed by significant recognition: the artist is nominated for Best Vallenato Artist at the Nuestra Tierra Awards and for Best Vallenato Song with “A tu Ladito.” Likewise, at the Upar Awards, he has garnered multiple nominations, including Vallenato Group of the Year, Song of the Year for “A tu Ladito,” Manager of the Year for Milagros Villamil, Accordionist of the Year for Sergio Luis Rodríguez, Best Vallenato Video for Bryan Cuadro, Conga Player of the Year for José Cervantes, and Best Social Media Management, thus solidifying one of the strongest moments of his career.
