Icelandic singer Laufey has the best-selling jazz album this week in the United States. The album is titled “A Matter of Time: The Final Hour.”

She shines singing alongside stately symphony orchestras, as well as in upbeat TikTok videos.
While her unconventional approach has generated backlash from genre guardians, Laufey has learned to embrace the opposition and become the number one jazz artist.
