The Ibiza superclub has topped the annual readers’ poll of the world’s best clubs in its very first year.
Returning for its 21st edition the Top 100 Clubs poll is a celebration of the world’s definitive dancefloors, ranked entirely by votes from DJ Mag’s global audience.
It only opened on 30th May 2025, but [UNVRS] — pronounced ‘Universe’ — has already shot straight to the top of the chart. The Ibiza ‘hyperclub’ spans multiple themed rooms, each offering a unique sensory experience, from immersive LED tunnels and futuristic main floors to intimate, art-filled lounges, making for a clubbing experience that’s truly out of this world.
The club’s first first year brought many highlights, including: a unique B2B2B2B moment with Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati and the Martinez Brothers; Anyma bringing out US rapper Travis Scott for a hype rendition of ‘FE!N’; Carl Cox recording an all-night-long vinyl set for a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix; takeovers from ANOTR, Charlotte de Witte, Klangkuenstler and Sara Landry, plus the reveal of David Guetta as the 2025 No. 1 DJ in the world in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs awards show. The closing night in October 2025 featured ANOTR, Anyma, Black Coffee, Peggy Gou and Rampa, teasing what promises to be an unforgettable 2026 for [UNVRS].
For CEO Yann Pissenem – who also owns Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, ranked No. 2 and No. 4 respectively this year – [UNVRS] was never just about building a club; it was about redefining what a club can be. “It’s a different way of experiencing everything,” he tells DJ Mag. “It was conceived as a long-term vision to explore new possibilities in music, technology and human connection. From the beginning, it was imagined as a new kind of space where the scale of arena-level production meets the intimacy of the dancefloor, and where new forms of creative expression can emerge. At its core, it has always been about creating a place where people can feel something genuinely unique.”
Yann considers that [UNVRS]’s arrival at No. 1 is really only the beginning for the hyperclub. “Being here carries a great responsibility, and a strong motivation to keep evolving, to push boundaries, and to explore what music entertainment can become when creativity, culture and experience are brought together at the highest level. In our second season we look forward to continuing to surprise the international electronic music community, and to taking this universe, born in Ibiza and now shared by so many, even further.”
