“I saw people dancing from all ages,” she said of the huge open-air event.

Charlotte de Witte performed an open-air DJ set in the streets of Genova this past weekend.

The special event attracted crowds of around 20,000 people on Saturday, 11th April, taking over the city’s Piazza Matteotti with the support of Mayor Silvia Salis.

Footage has emerged online from the performance, which is one of a number of special outdoor sets from the Belgian DJ in cities around the world. Watch some footage from the performance below.

Writing on Instagram, de Witte said: “Genova, I have no words for what just happened. I saw people dancing from all ages. Everyone smiling and moving to the beat. Honestly, the whole thing is making me a bit emotional. These are very powerful moments. I’m beyond honoured to have been able to play for you today. Dal profondo del mio cuore, grazie mille.”

She will headline a DJ Mag Presents party in Las Vegas on 14th May.
