1. Madonna, John Legend, and dozens of other celebrities are calling for the immediate closure of an ICE detention center in Dilley, Texas, and have joined together to sign an open letter published Monday on change.com

“Children belong in schools and playgrounds, not detention centers. We urge the federal government and CoreCivic to immediately close the Dilley center, return the children and their families to the homes and communities from which they were taken, and end child incarceration immediately.”

2. Eurovision Song Contest launches its Asian edition on November 14

The Eurovision Song Contest will expand to Asia this year. The annual music event will hold its first Asian edition in Bangkok on November 14th with an initial list of 10 participating countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. More countries will be announced soon.

3. Release the Pressure” by Calvin Harris and Kasabian remains at the top of Billboard’s Global Dance Radio Chart for the fourth week.

The chart ranks the top dance music hits worldwide, based on airplay monitored on more than 200 dance music stations in 30 countries by WARM and BILLBOARD.

Kasabian is a rock band from England. Calvin Harris is a 42-year-old Scottish DJ.

4. Aria Vega and Ryan Castro remain at No. 1 for the second week on the TOP 100 COLOMBIA HITS with “Chévere”

The weekly chart ranks the most popular songs in Colombia based on their performance on radio, Spotify, and YouTube (actual consumption).

5. This week’s No. 1 Afrobeats song in the U.S.A. is “Chanel” by Tyla

Tyla was born in South Africa and is 24 years old.
