The Barranquilla-born artist Lalywood presents her latest album, “Declaraciones Menstruales,” a concept album that already features hits like “Bluejeaneo” and “Tesuer,” songs that have been a resounding success in Latin America.

The album reflects each phase of a woman’s menstrual cycle, a concept the artist explores to convey the purest and most real emotions women experience each month.

This release also includes the song “Domingo de Bajón” (Sunday of the Low), a heartfelt track that represents the luteal phase, when those moments of nostalgia arrive, blended with soft, slow, and protest-inducing sounds. Undoubtedly, pure feminine energy.

“This postmodern album aims to help you feel. It wasn’t produced to explain what menstruation is or its different phases, but rather to allow each listener to feel what women generally experience in each phase of their cycle through music,” explains Lalywood.

With an intense piano and her vocal performance, Lalywood presents a heartfelt song, full of emotion and a rising voice of protest—a voice with which many women can identify. It’s a call to eliminate taboos surrounding a topic as normal as opening your eyes each morning.

With this song, the Colombian artist based in the United States presents an official lyric video that can be enjoyed on her official YouTube channel. This song, along with all the songs on this album, is available on all digital music platforms.

This new album features tracks like “TESUER,” a celebration of good fortune, of those moments when all the lights turn green and life begins to fall into place. Another song on the album is “BLUJEANEO,” a track that transforms ovulation into rhythm, memory, and dance.
