This track is part of her concept album, Sincere Menstrual Declarations, and fuses sounds from the eighties, nineties, and early 2000s with a feminine, danceable, and free-spirited perspective.

The Barranquilla-born singer-songwriter Lalywood releases Bluejeaneo, a song that transforms ovulation into rhythm, memory, and dance. The track is part of her concept album, Sincere Menstrual Declarations, a project that narrates the phases of the menstrual cycle from an honest, feminine, and deeply creative perspective.

Bluejeaneo is an alternative and nostalgic reggaeton track, without vulgarity or excess, that connects the biological energy of ovulation with sounds from the eighties, nineties, and early 2000s. It’s a song that invites you to move, but also to remember: impromptu parties, social halls covered with trash bags on the windows, mini tkk’s, and that teenage desire to dance until the lights go out.

“Ovulating is also about twerking…” Far from clichés, Lalywood transforms a phase of the female body into a universal musical language. “Bluejeaneo is an ode to ovulation. It speaks of that moment in the cycle when you feel alive, magnetic, wanting to go out, to dance, to exist with more intensity,” explains the artist.

The result is a danceable, sensual, and emotional track, where biology becomes aesthetics and the body becomes a dance floor.

The song unites Lalywood, from Barranquilla, with Kairuz, an artist from Bogotá, with whom she constructs a sonic dialogue that crosses regions, memories, and styles. Together they create an energy that represents the perfect balance between the Caribbean and the capital, between nostalgia and the present.

“It’s the perfect mix to get Colombia and the world dancing and bluejeaneo,” says Lalywood.

This release is accompanied by a music video that amplifies the Bluejeaneo universe through fluorescent colors, denim, and a sensual, party atmosphere. The visual piece translates the energy of ovulation into vibrant images, bodies in motion, and scenes that evoke celebration, freedom, and desire, connecting early 2000s nostalgia with a contemporary and deeply feminine aesthetic.

Bluejeaneo is not a standalone release, but a key piece within Declaraciones Menstruales Sinceras (Sincere Menstrual Declarations), an album that translates the menstrual cycle into songs, emotions, and metaphors. Each track represents a different phase of the female body, moving away from pedagogical discourse to embrace music as a sensory and emotional experience.

With this release, Lalywood reaffirms her artistic vision: to create pop music from the body, from memory, and from what has historically gone unspoken, but has been felt by all women.
