Having started in music at age 9 and taken a break to reflect, mature, and make the right decisions, Laura García Ramos, known artistically as LALA, returns with a song that blends romantic salsa with modern arrangements, designed to win over hearts, playlists, and stages both nationally and internationally.
At a time when Latin music is experiencing a global renewal with fresh voices and genre-bending sounds, the Cali-born singer, with salsa roots and a sensitivity to different musical styles, announced the worldwide release of her highly anticipated single ‘TÚ’ on all digital platforms at midnight on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. After starting out at age 9 with the production ‘LALA Natural’ and the songs ‘Me enamoré’ and an adaptation of ‘Cúcala,’ a world-renowned song made famous by Celia Cruz, LALA returns to the music scene at age 28 with renewed energy, enthusiasm, and a strengthened artistic vision, thanks to a break dedicated to personal growth and solidifying her musical style.
“I feel very honored to be the heir to a super important salsa legacy, and at the same time, I’m happy because I’m building my own path, doing what represents me, what I am, and what I feel and think as a woman. According to LALA, ‘TÚ’ represents the starting point of a new cycle in her artistic life. “The sound of my band is going to be different. What we’ll experience on stage will be unique,” explained the Colombian singer, who defined this single as a romantic song performed from the heart, fused with modern arrangements and touches of current trends, but without losing the essence of salsa. The song was composed by her father, the renowned Colombian salsa icon Willy García, an emblematic figure of the genre and responsible for numerous hits that have transcended generations in Latin America and the United States.

This first release is part of a repertoire of several songs that LALA will share throughout 2026, combining salsa with other sounds, always with the aim of connecting with her fans.
“I want to be happy and create happiness. I’ve been preparing for this all these years. I wasn’t in a hurry; I want to transcend generations and do it well. In my music there is love, pride in who we Colombians are, hope, and discipline,” LALA stated.
