World Premiere: The Beatles’ “Anthology 4”

Author

As The Beatles’ Anthology 2025 global campaign continues with the exciting release of music, documentary series, and books this fall, Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe is releasing the new Anthology Collection and Anthology 4 compilations.

The complete Anthology Collection includes 191 tracks from Anthology 1, 2, and 3, and the new Anthology 4 (also available separately), which features 13 previously unreleased demos and session recordings and other rare tracks, along with “Now and Then” and Jeff Lynne’s new 2025 mixes of “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love.” The beautifully restored video for “Real Love” also premieres today, joining the restored video for “Free as a Bird,” released in August.

The Anthology music collections, originally curated by George Martin, have been recently remastered by Giles Martin. They offer a fascinating glimpse into the early development of the songs that became recording masterpieces, which continue to resonate today with the same power as when they were first recorded.

The Beatles on Disney+
Disney+ has released the new trailer and promotional poster for its upcoming premiere, “The Beatles Anthology.” Episodes 1-3 of the series will premiere on November 26, followed by episodes 4-6 on November 27 and episodes 7-9 on November 28.

“The Beatles Anthology,” the landmark documentary series produced in the UK by Apple Corps that explores the life and times of the most influential and beloved band of all time, as told by the Beatles themselves, will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 26. Magnificently restored and expanded from eight to nine episodes, the series offers an intimate and unprecedented look at the legendary career and inner workings of the Beatles.

Premiering three decades ago, The Beatles’ eight-part “Anthology” series reinvented the music documentary. Instead of the standard approach centered on an external narrator and interviews, “The Anthology” featured John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr candidly recounting their own story, with all its complexities and contradictions. It introduced The Beatles to new generations of viewers and listeners and marked the beginning of a creative and commercial legacy that continues to this day.

“The Beatles Anthology” Book
The 25th anniversary edition of “The Beatles Anthology” is now available from Apple Corps Ltd. and Chronicle Books. Within its pages, John, Paul, George, and Ringo share their candid, intimate, and revealing recollections of the band’s journey. Their memories are interwoven with insights from their closest colleagues, including Neil Aspinall, George Martin, Derek Taylor, and others. The bestselling 368-page book is beautifully illustrated with over 1,300 photos, documents, artwork, and other memorabilia from the band’s archives.

Everything the Beatles did was transformative. Listening to their songs and seeing how their story unfolds brings us closer to the cultural, ideological, and musical shifts they helped shape—shifts that continue to resonate today. The anthology has always focused on their past, but this new edition confirms their enduring place in the present and future.
