The track appears to be the first from a forthcoming album.

Robyn has released her first new track in seven years, ‘Dopamine’.

The track landed yesterday via Young and was co-written and produced with longtime collaborator, Klas Åhlund.

Keen fans have been anticipating the collaboration since Åhlund confirmed on Per Nordmark’s podcast Nordmark Pod in September that he had recently finished work on a new Robyn album.

“Dopamine. I’ve been working on this song for almost a decade and it feels so good to release it today,” Robyn wrote on Instagram. “How great to have a body, how great to have a brain, how great to be alive.”

Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Marili Andre, who also photographed the artwork for ‘Dopamine’.

The new album will be the Swedish pop artist’s first since 2018’s ‘Honey’. In the intervening years, Robyn has collaborated with artists including SG Lewis, Sigur Rós’ Jónsi, Smile, Neneh Cherry, Jamie xx and Yung Lean, whom she featured alongside on a remix of Charli xcx’s ‘360’.

Last month, Honey Dijon, Dam Swindle, and KDA remixed Louie Vega’s ‘All My Love’, which features Robyn.
