The marathon set launched van Buuren’s ongoing residency at the famed open-air club, which includes nine dates and runs until 28th September.

The open-to-close set, which took place on 8th June, was a special one for van Buuren, who hadn’t performed a solo set of this length on the island for eight years. Kicking off this year’s residency off in style, he treated fans to a mix of deep cuts, old favourites and newly minted tracks. You can watch some clips of the set below.

“What a night!” he said after the show. “The last time I did this was 8 years ago but this one was even better. The people showed up early and the energy was just through the roof. Thank you to everyone for making this one extra special, can’t wait to be back next week!”

The residency will run across nine dates, with shows every Sunday from 8th June until 6th July, and then from 7th September until 28th September. After the opening party, van Buuren will be joined each week by guests, including Marlon Hoffstadt, Oliver Heldens, Cosmic Gate and Vini Vici.
