“What I Am” featuring Morgan Wallen (32) and Tate McRae (21) are the new kings of the Hot 100 this week, the list of the 100 most popular songs in the United States (Morgan also dominates the Billboard 200, the album chart).
In the entire history of the Hot 100, which was created in August 1958, 1,180 songs have reached number 1 on the chart, and only 83 have debuted directly at the top in their first week.
While Morgan Wallen is from Sneedville, Tennessee, Tate McRae was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Tate McRae is the seventh Canadian woman to have a number 1 on the Hot 100. The others are Céline Dion (four number 1s), Nelly Furtado (three), Carly Rae Jepsen, Avril Lavigne, Alannah Myles and Anne Murray (one each).
