The first cast announcement has been confirmed for the upcoming Beatles biopics: Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison).
The four films, produced by Sony Pictures, will be directed by Sam Mendes (“Skyfall,” “1917”). No other cast members have been announced at this time, nor has the release order for the four films.
All four films are set for release in April 2028.
WHO ARE THEY?
Harris Dickinson is known for his roles in “Babygirl” (2024) and “The Iron Claw” (2023), while Joseph Quinn starred alongside Paul Mescal in “Gladiator II” and also appeared in the final season of “Stranger Things.”
Irish actor Barry Keoghan has received several accolades, including a BAFTA Award, and has been nominated for an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. He began acting in 2011 and gained recognition in 2017 for his roles in “Dunkirk” (2017) and “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” (2017).
