Fifty-eight years ago, los Hermanos Lebron released their first album, “Psychedelic Goes Latin.”
Almost six decades later, the Cali, Colombia-based orchestra led by Angel Lebron has given its fans a big surprise with a new album that includes two new songs and remixed and remastered classic material, in an anthological retelling of nine songs that sound contemporary and fresh.

The first single is the title track, performed by América, Angel Lebron’s daughter. In a recent interview with W Radio Colombia, América said about the new song, “It was born from an idea of my dad (Ángel Lebron), who has always been an inspiration to me. It’s a tribute to the love that always appears when you least expect it.”
“Te Encontre”

At 16 years old, América takes on the challenge of being the new voice of Los Hermanos Lebron.
On “Te Encontre,” she is accompanied by singer Jordy Vásquez, a former member of the La Fuga orchestra.
The song was recorded at L&L Studios in Cali, the management company that oversees Willy Garcia’s career.
The album “Te Encontré” will compete this year in the “Mejor Album de Salsa” category.

Angel Lebron, who also spoke with Julio Sanchez Cristo on W Radio, recalled that Los Hermanos Lebron, who initially lived in NYC, not only recorded Latin music but also English-language songs from other genres:
“We always had one or two songs in English at each record we made. We played funk, rock, ballads… We would sit down and talk about what we wanted to do, divide up the tasks, and move forward. We were a success in American music,” he said.
“We grew up with that kind of music, with James Brown, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles. They told us our music was crazy because we were young. Young people are always disruptive. Now they criticize reggaeton, but they do it well. Everything has its meaning, suited to the new generations”.
Finally, Maestro Angel stated on W Radio that he feels very pleased with the words of Bad Bunny, who after the release of his new album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”, which includes two Salsa songs, said that Los Hermanos Lebron had been his inspiration.
