The awards will be presented at a special awards ceremony on February 1 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.
Cuban composer and conductor Tania Leon will also be honored.
Tania is an acclaimed composer, conductor, and educator. She has received commissions from orchestras around the world, held the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer Chair at Carnegie Hall for the 2023-24 season, and currently serves as composer-in-residence with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She studied with Leonard Bernstein and has guest conducted with the New York Philharmonic and the Johannesburg Philharmonic. In 2021 she won the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
She received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2022.
