Through his account on X, the Panamanian singer Rubén Blades showed his enthusiasm for participating in the COP16 concert that will take place on October 26 in Cali, which is titled as the concert Peace with Nature, a song for life.
“We will be with the Editus Ensamble (from Costa Rica) and the Boca Livre Group (from Brazil) performing songs from our albums: Tiempos, Mundo and Pasieros,” said Rubén.
Rubén Blades will perform on the same stage as Rubén Albarrán, the Colombian band Aterciopelados and the French-Chilean Anita Tijoux, as well as seven other artists, in the middle of the nine hours of shows that will make up the Del Agua y de la Tierra event that will take place at COP16.
“Hello my friends from Cali, this is Rubén Blades, we will be in Cali, God willing, on October 26 at the Pascual Guerrero stadium. The material that we will develop that night will be limited exclusively to the material that we recorded with Editus, in 1999 on the album Tiempos, in 2003 on the album Mundos and the album Pasieros. The event, in which these artists and experts from indigenous peoples will participate, will be through music, movement, mapping and the arts to contribute, as explained by Juan David Correa, Minister of Culture, in a statement.

One of the artists of this concert will be Rubén Blades, who for 40 years has carried the message that Latin America deserves a different destiny.
