Grupo Niche and La Orquesta Sinfonica de Colombia will arrive at the Arena Cañaveralejo, Cali, Colombia on November 9 with their grand show “Niche Sinfónico.”
The album “Niche Sinfonico” that won the Latin Grammy in Seville last year as “Best Salsa Album” is a creation that was carefully prepared for nearly five years, a dream materialized with the musical direction, production, arrangements, and orchestration of Juan José Aguirre and his father, the current director of the group, José Aguirre, and the executive production led by Yanila Varela.
“It is a wonderful experience, in which we wanted to achieve a totally organic album in these times,” says Jose Agiirre. “From the moment we started making the arrangements we wanted the album to be magnificent, with the unique sound of Niche and its majesty, accompanied by an unforgettable symphonic orchestration.”
The album was recorded on 2-inch analog tape and toured at various times, between state-of-the-art studios in Miami, Los Angeles, Bogotá and Cali.
The symphonic album includes ten of the most popular songs for the multigenerational audience that Grupo Niche has. All of them have a brilliant meaning in the history of salsa and for its creator, the Maestro, Jairo Varela. They are modern and symphonic adaptations, so that the public can enjoy one of the greatest productions of all time of world salsa live this November 9th at the modern Arena Cañaveralejo.
The album “Niche Sinfonico” in addition to winning the Latin Grammy, was nominated for the Grammy Awards Edition 66 in the category of “Best Tropical Album.”
