If you lived in the UK in the 1990s, Oasis were a formidable force in music.
When Noel and Liam Gallagher, the feisty Manchester brothers, called it quits in 2009, they walked away with an impeccable chart record.
All seven of Oasis’ studio albums reached number one on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, from their 1994 debut, “Definitely Maybe,” to 2008’s “Dig Out Your Soul.”
A year after splitting in 2010, their greatest hits album “Time Flies – 1994-2009” reached the top, giving Oasis eight #1 albums.
“Definitely Maybe” became the biggest-selling debut album in British history.
Their 1995 second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, is the fifth best-selling album of all time in the UK.
Their third album, 1997’s “Be Here Now,” sold 696,000 copies in just three days in its first week on the charts.
