Colombian singer and songwriter Nacho Acero presents his first live DVD entitled “Nacho Acero: Mi Esencia”, coinciding with the celebration of his 15 years of artistic career. The project is directed by maestro Diego Galé, recognized for his work on DVDs of prominent salsa singers such as Tito Nieves, Maelo Ruiz and Tony Vega, among others.
In this DVD, Nacho Acero, together with Diego Galé, seek to give a current and rumba approach to his best-known songs that have taken him to countries such as Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Panama and his beloved Colombia. It includes 8 songs known throughout his career, including his iconic song “Te Quise Tanto”, as well as songs such as “Dueño de Nada”, a song by renowned singer José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma”.
In addition to his best-known songs, Nacho included in this DVD a previously unreleased song titled “Te extraño” (I Miss You), written by the native of Colombia himself, which shows romantic salsa at its best and is already starting to be heard on the most important radio stations in Colombia. “Te extraño” (I Miss You) has lyrics that express a deep longing for that love that, despite the difficulties and betrayal, managed to be important and happy. “And now it’s the same, I don’t feel like laughing, I feel your absence, I can’t be happy anymore…” Nacho sings with a passion that promises to touch everyone’s hearts.
For Nacho, this first DVD represents the materialization of 15 years of dedication to salsa and is the recognition of a life dedicated to music. In his own words, it marks a before and after in his career, allowing him to show his essence, talent and commitment to the genre and the opportunity to take his music to the next level.
The live DVD was filmed in cinematic format, thus elevating the quality of the material released by a salsa artist today. The chosen location was a rustic and industrial space in the city of Medellin, where his close friends, media, family and the renowned popular music singer, Francy, were present, with whom he has a song recorded a few years ago and managed to be in the top 5 of national radio stations.
