DOMINIC MAHARAJ IS INSPIRED BY WAR AND RELEASES HER NEW SONG “IF ONLY”

Author

The American singer, songwriter and producer with Mexican roots, Dominique Maharaj, surprises the music and technology industry again with her most recent travk, “If Only,” a song that is now available on all digital platforms as well as its video on YouTube.

On this occasion, the artist who is usually inspired by experiences and love in all its expressions, decided to “visit” history in order to take a trip inside and create “If Only,” a song that, although the war that has prevailed on Earth in different scenarios was the muse for the artist, what she really seeks is that each one of the people who manage to connect with the song, understand that until each one takes charge of themselves, until they heal internally, a change in the world will not be seen.

Dominique teamed up with her friend Brandon Daniel, a producer from Pasto, Colombia with Chinese roots, so together they took advantage of the cultural wealth they had between the two to create a piece, which covers World War II, the Cold War and the Israeli War, which we are witnessing today.

For its part, the video illustrates Paris before and after the war. Dominique chose this French city because she herself claims that all people have a list of dream places to visit and this is one of those places, and that Paris has been a witness to conflict throughout history, so it currently has a particular energy since the population is made up of war immigrants who have found freedom in France.

However, this is where the interesting part comes in. For several months, Maharaj studied the history of the world and found something important, and that is that the Eiffel Tower is closely linked to the work of the inventor and electrical engineer Nicola Tesla, known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply… And what is Dominique getting at with all this? It turns out that Tesla’s contributions were and continue to be of utmost importance in the evolution of the human race, which is where it is linked to the song and inspiration, because for the artist, internal healing through love is what will ultimately bring positive change to the planet.

It is also worth remembering that Maharaj created a collaboration with Space Blue with a single purpose, and that was to be part of the Artemis Mission project – in which she was the first woman at NASA – which was launched to the Moon (literally) in 2023 in order to leave on the natural satellite information about certain aspects of humanity, such as art, through an NFT plaque, the same one that contains “Fly High”, a song by Dominique together with the producer Juanito Cardona. The request was specific: to talk about the universe. The person organizing the project also asked that the theme be something that could be used for a movie related to the Moon.

Other artists such as the iconic band Pink Floyd joined to leave their mark, as well as representatives of the visual arts were also part of this project.
Dominique’s music and videos are also thought, created and hosted in the Metaverse, making her one of the pioneering artists to have her works, literally, “in the future.”
Once again, Maharaj leaves the public breathless, as she becomes one of the few artists who decides to delve even further into human feelings, history and evolution in order to raise awareness and contribute to the development of the planet from her knowledge and art.
