Snoop Dogg is set to carry the Olympic torch on its final leg through the streets of Saint-Denis, the northern Paris suburb that is home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium, the city’s mayor Mathieu Hanotin has confirmed.
Snoop Dogg’s move comes after BTS star Jin also served as an Olympic torchbearer representing South Korea on Sunday, July 14, Bastille Day.
Snoop Dogg has been seen in a variety of activities lately, from cooking shows with Martha Stewart to commentary on his own wildlife series, “Planet Snoop.”
He is now an Olympic torchbearer and NBC correspondent for the Olympics.
Snoop Dogg is one of the most popular artists among cannabis users in the world.
The 2024 Olympic Games will take place from Friday, July 25 to Sunday, August 11.
