In a hilarious new NBC promo video for the 2024 Games, Sabrina Carpenter is in high spirits thanks to her caffeinated drink as she chats with an unexpected fan at a Parisian joint.
“Yes, I’m Sabrina Carpenter,” she says to an animated blue bird that lands on her table.
“What am I doing in Paris?” she continues to speak as the bird continues to chirp.
“Isn’t it obvious? The Olympics. The incredible opening ceremony on the Seine, Simone [Biles]’s epic comeback, the U.S.-Australia rivalry in the pool, and the fastest man and woman in the world, Noah [Lyles] and Sha’Carri [Richardson], competing for Team USA. I’ve never been more excited in my life.”
Meanwhile, a waiter tells his coworker in French: “I think you’ve had enough espresso.”
The video, of course, is a clever nod to the singer’s smash hit “Espresso.”
