In its “Women of Live” issue, Pollstar highlights five touring female artists who are contributing to what is already proving to be 2024: A solid year at the box office.
In just the first two months of the year, more than 11 million concert tickets have been sold around the world and the total income of artists, according to Pollstar lists, currently exceeds 900 million dollars.
Among the women who have helped achieve that impressive global collection, around $31.2 million comes from Madonna, who tops the list of the five highest-grossing women during the first two months of 2024.
So far this year, Madonna has had 11 ‘soldout’ concerts in six stadiums with a total number of tickets sold now standing at 153,261.
Karol G follows her in the ranking of the highest-grossing women in these first two months of the year with $17.8 million.
K-pop stars Twice secure third place. The nine-girl group from South Korea brought 114,049 fans over two nights to Foro Sol in Mexico City, raising $11.2 million.
The tour of comedians and actresses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler has raised $9.8 million so far in 2024.
In position number 5 is the Mexican singer and songwriter Gloria Trevi with $2.9 million and 31,606 tickets sold.
